Carol Cochrane

Carol Cochrane is the principal of Cochrane Coaching + Creating with a proven track record of over 25 years working in senior leadership roles facilitating effective organisational change and leadership development interventions within the higher education, vocational training, enterprise, manufacturing and community development sectors.

Carol has extensive experience in developing and implementing organisational learning and development infrastructures.

External endorsement and recognition of Carol’s organisational learning and development work includes 3 national training awards along with a 2017 finalist nomination in the prestigious Times Higher Education Award Category: Outstanding Contribution to Leadership Development

Senior Executive roles held by Carol include: Head of Staff Development at Ulster University for 11.5 years; Owner Director of KAIZEN Training & Development a successful business of 13.5 years providing accredited work-based vocational training, leadership development and interim management consultancy.

KAIZEN clients included: Caterpillar, Microsoft, Wrightbus, Norbrook, Galen, Toughglass, East Antrim and North West FE Colleges and Venture International.

In her role as Northern Ireland Director of Livewire Carol led the formulation of a NI Youth enterprise strategy; established a support infrastructure of 4 regional offices and network of 80 voluntary small business advisers and secured increased sustainable funding.

Carol has also held senior executive roles in private and community based accredited professional training organisations.

Carol is an accredited Executive Leadership Coach; Insights Discovery Practitioner; Project Manager, with an MA in Strategic HR and a Distinction in the Business and Executive Coaching Diploma from the Michael Smurfit Business School.

In addition, Carol has participated in international conferences including the US based NCCI (Network for Change and Continuous Improvement in Higher Education) and been an active partner in international collaborations working on the development of online higher education leadership development programmes and organisational change initiatives.

 

Noelle Branagan

Noelle Branagan is an experienced creative facilitator of over 25 years with a background in psychotherapy. The central focus of Noelle’s work is in promoting personal effectiveness in interpersonal and communication skills for individuals and teams, groups and organisations.

Noelle has worked with Carol in the development and co-facilitation of a range of effective leadership team and group interventions including: managing change; facilitating crucial conversations and dealing with interpersonal difficulties.

Noelle uses Morenian Action Methods and Sociodrama in non-therapeutic contexts to facilitate personal and professional change and development.

Action methods provide participants with an opportunity to learn new ways of thinking and behaving to either deal with old problems in a new way or deal with new problems in a more adaptive fashion.

Network of Associates

Carol has in addition, a strong network of experienced and credible associates that she may partner with in either the co-design and/or co-facilitation of leadership, personal development and/or organisational change interventions.
