Leading HR Business Partnerships

Participant Profile

The primary aim of this programme is to develop both the leadership and facilitation (coaching and mentoring) capability of HR Business Partners so that they have the essential credibility and skills to enable leaders at all levels to become more effective in managing and developing their people.

This leadership programme includes Ulrich’s 6 HR Business Partner domains of: Strategic Positioner, Credible Activist, Capability Builder, HR Innovator & Integrator, Change Champion and Technology Proponent.

HR Business Partners have the opportunity to extend their Learning and Organisational Development role and skills in line with the CIPD Professional Service Map.

Each participant will be required to complete an innovation Project to generate demonstrable evidence of impact that s/he may use if they choose to follow the Experience Assessment Route to CIPD Membership.

The programme will enable the HR Business Partner to enhance both their personal coaching and/or mentoring interventions and the coaching and/or mentoring interventions of their manager clients.

Participants will develop their understanding of the skills, principles and practices of effective coaching and mentoring; lead the development and implementation of a HR Innovation Project and present the outcomes of this project to their HR peers, line manager and senior leaders.

This programme may be provided as either a bespoke or external open programme.
